Pastor Wilson's Testimony
My Family background: I was born 40 years ago. I was born and raised up in the community that did not know the true and heavenly God. My tribe are superstitious, idol worshippers and they believe that their god lives under the crater of Mount Elgon. So I grew up in the unchristian home. My salvation: Not many days after my initiation to become a tribal Man as my people believes, one evening, I was walking in the village market, I met a street preacher, preaching and passing out tracts, he gave me a tract. At home I read that tract, it was my first time reading it. It got hold and touched my heart and I felt the need to have Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord of my life. So I had no choice but to surrender my life to the saviour. From there I looked for a church where I was taught the word of God. As I grew stronger in the Lord I felt the Lord leading to do his will. The desire to learn more of the Lord's word increased. So after my high school, God opened a door for me to join a Baptist Bible College for theology course. After three years of my training the Lord lead me back to my people who do not worship the true God. “I have the burden to see my people saved''. By the leadership and grace of God in March 1990 the first converts were found and thereafter, the church started (planted). The hand of the Lord has been on the work. As I e-mail you now, we’ve 33 churches and two preaching points which will soon become churches. I do train leaders and some times Friends visits to help train Leaders. In Uganda we have six churches. Orphanage school: Beside, the churches we run the school to help educate the less-fortunate children whose parents have since died of Aids and natural diseases related to Aids. To make them be self reliance in the adult age, We show them how to read and write after taking them up to grade 8. Then we will train them into different technical skills. Currently we have 91 Orphans.
